The Oyo State government has prohibited the engagement of the National Union of Road Transport Workers.
The order came after alleged security breaches and discord clashes among the members of the Union in some areas of Ibadan, Oyo state.
Mr Bisi Ilaka, who is the chief of staff to the Governor, told journalists at a press conference in the Governor’s office that the activities of the Union have been proscribed.
The Chief of Staff urged the people of the state to proceed with the legit and law-abiding businesses.
The police public relation officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi on Thursday told punch newspaper that six NURTW members had been nabbed for constituting nuisance at motor parks between Wednesday and Thursday.
