Fear Gripped Ife – Ibadan Highway Motorist

The frequent Attack by bandit on the highway has posted a great fear on motorist which brought a drastic drop on vehicle movement on the Ife-Ibadan Expressway on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, a report revealed that Oshogbo to Ikire had very few vehicles plying the road while from Gbongan Junction to the boundary of Osogbo and Oyo state had about for police checkpoint with heavily armed riot police.

Before Wednesday attack that took the life of a government worker suspected to be shot dead by the Fulani Herdsmen, there had been much increase in kidnapping and armed robbery on the road.

One of the commuters named Adenekan spoke on the recent reduction in the number of vehicles plying the road because the Travelers fear being attacked by The Bandit.
