Allegation filled the air about Mr Godwin Emefiele billions of Naira mismanagement, yet the president ignored the charges and went on to sworn him in for a second term in office.
The corruption eradication acclaimed administration did not comment as he was sworn in the second term as the Central Bank of Nigeria governor.
The CBN governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele was sworn in on Monday to resume his second term in office.
In a statement by Mr Isaac Okoroafor, The director communication revealed that the swearing-in was done by the CBN Secretary and Director, corporate secretariat department, Mrs Alice Karau.
The CBN governor, in his appreciation speech after the oath-taking, said he gives glory to God and appreciate the president for nominating him. He as well gives thanks to the Senate for confirming his appointment.
He also appreciated the management, staffs and the media for their support in his first term.
He said, “We must strengthen our efforts over the coming years to stimulate growth and job creation in critical sectors of the economy, which will help insulate our economy from shocks in the global economy.
“We must also work to build a healthy and stable financial system that will contribute to the growth of our economy while preserving price stability,”.
