EU Hits INEC, Political Parties Over The General Election

The European Union observers have faulted the presidential election that was held on February 23rd and March 2nd 2019 that procedures were not transparent as it was interrupted by violence, harassment and intimidation.

According to the Observer, the incidence severely disrupted the election integrity and saw the return of President Muhammadu Buhari to power has been insincere.

“The elections became increasingly marred by violence and intimidation, with the role of the security agencies becoming more contentious as the process progressed. Not only that were the elections not transparent, But this also damaged the integrity of the electoral process and may deter future participation”.

The EU observers said on Saturday in Abuja, in their final report on the elections.
