Many people have lost their lives in a fire accident that took over the last bus-stop area of Ijegun in the Igando-Ikotun local council development area of Lagos State on Thursday morning.
It was gathered that some suspected pipeline bunkerers were on their way out of the area after taking fuel from one of the pipelines they had vandalized when one of their tankers accidentally and caused fuel spillage.
The spill from the fuel cost the fire outbreak as resident left their houses to secure safety.
The number of casualties and burnt properties is unknown as the flames hindered people from going near the area.
Babajide Lawal, who reside in the community said the explosion woke up residence in the vicinity and disclose that lot of lives and properties are lost.

Lawal said, “There is fire incident at Ijegun Last Bus Stop, in fact, no one can move near the place because the whole area is burning.
What woke us up was the sound of the explosion, and when we came out to observe what happened, we saw the fire burning everywhere.”
