The Human Rights Writers Association Of Nigeria has questioned two sensitive portfolios the President gave to Muslims.
Yesterday, the President appointed two Muslims as minister of Interior and Minister of defence.
The association condemned such action, saying its totally uncalled for in a country like this and it’s against the constitution under section 42(1), which forbid discrimination.
This criticism was made known by the National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, and National Media Affairs Director, Zainab Yusuf.
He rejects the profiting and convenient offices he gave to most of the northerners.
They also expressed their displeasure on the number of South East minister appointed whereas Northwest had more of the cabinet.
The group said this was the first mistake the President made during his first tenure where he gave northerners more offices and Muslims. We expected him to correct this, but he repeats it.
