Zainab Ahmed, the Nigeria Minister of Finance, said she admits there’s an outcry over the rising debt of the country, but she believes there will he penalty on her if she fails to follow the president instruction.
She said this during her meeting with the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
Nevertheless, she said there’s no much alarm with the debt in comparison to other countries, and we’re the least of them, except that our revenue is the major setback.
If we fail to adjust the issue with the revenue, there might be a great circumstance in settling the country’s budget.
She also tasks the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, adding that it’s their responsibility to “coordinate donor agencies operating in the country,” and promised to meet with them to see areas they might want to be of help.
