SSANU, NASU Warn FG Against Their Action After The Warning Strike

According to Mr Solomon Alfa, SSANU’s National Vice President (North), he said, they would continue the strike, and this time it will be indefinite.

As the one week warning strike gradually comes to an end, the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) have vehemently warned the Federal Government to prepare for the mother of strikes that as never happened in the country history as they would embark on an indefinite strike nationwide until their demands are met.

This was buttressed during a conference with the press after a joint meeting by the two bodies in Abuja on Thursday.

According to Mr Solomon Alfa, SSANU’s National Vice President (North), he said, they would continue the strike, and this time it will be indefinite.

    The warning strike is expected to elapse today.

    Their demands are for the government to show firm commitment towards settling their long-time request as well as paying their long owed earned allowances.

    Their other requests are resolving the university staff schools matter and the renegotiation of 2009 Agreements.
