Buhari has removed Festus Keyamo as the Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs in less than two months after his assumption of office and appoint him as Ministry of Labour and Employment.
This was made known according to the statement from the Director of Information at the Office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey, said Keyamo is to take the place of Tayo Alasoadura as the Minister of State at the labour ministry, while Alasoadura takes his at the Niger Delta Affairs ministry.
Some part of the statement reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the prompt redeployment of two Ministers of State as follows.
“Mr Festus Keyamo, Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, will now be in charge of the Ministry of Labour and Employment as Minister of State.
“Senator Tayo Alasoadura is redeployed to be in charge of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs as Minister of State.
“The redeployment takes effect immediately.”
