About 319 Nigerians will be evacuated from South Africa on Tuesday following president Muhammad Buhari order.
On Wednesday, 187 Nigerians were evacuated from South Africa by the Federal government as a result of the xenophobic attacks South Africans on foreign Africans.
According to Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, “important travel documents would be given to those who intend to come back to Nigeria, and other immigration problems would be addressed to avoid a repeat of last Wednesday and see that there’s a smooth evacuation exercise.”
“Our next target is to bring back 319 Nigerians. They have been registered for the next flight, though the list is yet to be available. The flight might take off on Tuesday or Wednesday so that we can make proper documentation and avoid a case where the plane would return half full with scanty passengers.”
