The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Sunday announced the temporary closure of some part of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway today, Monday, September 2 until October 31.
In the diversion details released, the movement will be restrained from Kara Bridge inward Berger meanwhile traffic will be moved to other Lagos exit.
LASTMA also explained that the road would be split into two lanes, on both sides so that the traffic could be divided towards the way going to Lagos at the Berger intersection that links River Valley Estate.
The alternative routes for commuters coming in and moving out of Lagos, they are advised to make use of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway from/to Abeokuta, connecting from/to Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Another alternative routes are Sagamu-Ikorodu Road from/to Sagamu connecting through Sagamu Interchange from/to Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Ijebu-Ode – Itoikin Road from/to Ijebu-Ode connecting from/to Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is another means as advised by the agency.
