The inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu, has given the Islamic Movement in Nigeria a new shock over his fresh order to arrest their leaders within the country.
In his new order, he set up a team of a peculiar police force to eradicate the Shiite group in Nigeria with immediate effect.
This order came following the proscription of the group by the court in order to stop the Shiite members from going contrary to the order.
The police boss said, he doesn’t want a repeat of the bloody protest on July 22 that led to the killing of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Abuja, Umar Usman, and a youth corps member, Precious Owolabi.
In the statement released to authenticate his order, it reads in part:
“Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (NIGPOL FORCID) has instructed all police force to discover the leaders of the Shiite group and their structures are dissolved and their engagement hindered.”
He ordered them to carry him along with their activities for a contrite investigation and potential violators of the proscription order should be convicted.”
