In response to Buhari’s victory at the tribunal, Mustapha Salihu, the National Vice-Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (North-East), has slammed Atiku Abubakar the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party during the February 23 presidential poll, that he was deceived with hope that the election results were sent into the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
According to him, this deception caused the PDP aspirant defeat at the Election Petitions Tribunal on Wednesday to President Muhammad Buhari.
Salihu said, “No one uses the server today. You don’t have whatever is called server anywhere. They were ‘deceived’. Some persons told them INEC has a server, then use money and they filed a case based on the lie.”
“Nevertheless, their lawyers did well in presenting the case, but it was rejected. This victory is for the whole Nigerians not for our party alone because it will help us look away from the distraction and focus on the next level.”
The APC chief said these to journalists at the inaugural meeting of the Adamawa Stakeholders’ Meeting where a reconciliation committee was raised.
