A troop of the Nigerian Army on Sunday overpower Boko Haram terrorists, killing and injuring some in the encounter as well as regain arms.
The Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sagir Musa made this known in a statement, he said the operation was discharged in Gworege Village in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State.
“no life was lost among the Nigerian Army as they gallantly fought the terrorist to a flee”, he added.
The soldiers alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force, local vigilantes and hunters fought this battle successfully, and the clearance operations were with no casualties as they clear the village where the terrorists had controlling.
“The terrorists fought the troops in a shooting fight but ran due to their foresee defeat by the gallant troops.”
“Many terrorists were killed in the fight while others ran off with severe injuries.”
