Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the executive Governor of Lagos State, has disclosed that the proposed policy intends to regulate the affairs of Okada riders in the state is under due process.
He said this during his 100 days remark on Friday at the De Blue Roof of Lagos Television in Agidingbi, Ikeja with the presence of artisans, businessmen and women, politicians, and other residents of Lagos State to grace the occasion.
Their presence gave the governor the chance to highlight some of his administration achievements in 100 days.
While addressing issues on public transportation and safety, he said: “It is essential and very expedient for my government to review and strategize new policies that would regulate the operation of Okada riders state.”
“The policy would assist in curbing road mishaps and life menace, as well as indiscriminate use of Okadas on Lagos roads.”
“Once these policies are pronounced, we appeal that we all comply with it and the enforcement of the law, in order to make Lagos State a better place for us.”
