The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declined the yesterday (Wednesday) judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal retaining President Buhari’s 2019 election victory.
In a statement released by PDP, it describes the verdict made by the 5-man panel as ‘subversion of justice and direct assault on the integrity of our nation’s justice system.”
According to Kola Ologbondiyan, the Peoples Democratic Party National Publicity Secretary, he said, the tribunal didn’t subject to justice upon all the dot of an I and the cross of a T proves that was presented by the party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
“The party is very displeased and amazed that the tribunal failed to put justice where it ought to be despite series of contrite and genuine proves presented before the panel that the acclaimed winner of the presidential election was only unqualified to contest the election but also didn’t have most of the valid votes at the polls.
“We are so bewildered that a law court could approve a glaring case of perjury and a declaration of wrong information sworn in an affidavit strongly established against the President, even in the face of incontrovertible evidence.”
“There were lots of evidence to show offenders of illegalities, manipulations, alterations and subtraction of valid votes freely given to Atiku Abubakar by Nigerians.
“We want to encouraged Nigerians to remain settled and not to faint to insincerity as our lawyers are making me moves to receive justice at the Supreme Court.
“Surprisingly, even the tribunal agreed that there were a lot of errors in the judgement.”
