The House of Representatives has accused the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama of failing to respond to its summon to explain the aftermath of the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
During the plenary on Tuesday which lasted a long while debating about the xenophobia, the Speaker of the house, Femi Gbajabiamila, said the minister of foreign affairs has failed to respond to different calls from the Chairman, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Buba Yusuf.
The Speaker said he would report the minister to the president for erring.
After that, he said the Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, had been called upon to present himself to the lawmakers on Wednesday in order to thank him and commend him for giving free services in bringing stranded Nigerians in South Africa.
