Olawale Bakare also called Mandate, has told journalists present at the court that he won’t become perplexed but will continue to remain steadfast despite being maltreated by operatives of the Department of State Services.
The 21-year-old student was apprehended on August 5, 2019, for joining #RevolutionNow protest in Osogbo, Osun State, against poor governance in the country.
According to Mandate, he said, “It’s been horrible, and I am badly treated, but I am not weak, and I believe that I will triumph in the end.”
“I want to let my family and friends know that all his well with me. Though I’ve been denied access to anyone, but they are always on my mind, and I want them to have it in mind that I’m struggling and battling for the soul of Nigeria and for my future.”
