Nigeria and South Africa have been placed in the same group after the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games qualifying tournament draw was done in Egyptian city Alexandria.
The duo is both in Group B ahead of the championship billed for November 8-22. The other group members are Ivory Coast and Zambia. The other Group A has the hosts Egypt, Mali, Cameroon and Ghana.

Only under-23 footballers are expected to feature while the finalists and the winners of the third-place play-off will represent Africa in Japan, where they have the chance to invite three ‘over-age’ players.
In 1996, Nigeria has won gold and silver in 2008 at Olympic football tournaments.
According to the Draw, the group A members are Egypt (hosts), Mali, Cameroon, Ghana While Group B are Nigeria, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Zambia.
