One of the volunteers of the N-power programme established by the federal government has cried out to the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to direct the Hon. Minister for humanitarian, disaster management and social development to pay their March, April and May 2020 stipends.
According to words curled from one of the volunteer saying, “We don’t deserve the hardship you imposed on us. We have done the work, it is time to receive our pay. Pay us our well deserved stipends for three months. Have a human heart and pay us. This is the most difficult moment we are experiencing in this country because of Covid 19 pandemic. Every right thinking human would never owe any worker salary at this moment. What have we done to deserve this?
He went further to say, there are evidence to proof his point.
“In case you are in doubt, the evidence of non payment is attached here. Thanks for your anticipated help.”, he added.
However, It was gathered that the delay in payment was to finalise plans to divert the salaries to palliatives measure for the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.
