A petrol tanker with a driver and his motor boy ram into a market and a restaurant at hospital junction in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.
According to an eye-witness, with the name Prince Oluwadare Olamigoke Emmanuel who spoke to Reference Daily News, no casualties was recorded except those who tried to run away from the coming tanker from hitting them and had a slight bruise.
Speaking to Reference Daily News reporter, he said, “the owner of the tanker was at fault, he gave his unskilled worker to drive the tanker knowing fully well that he’s not experienced to drive it.
“As at the occurrence of the incident, it was drizzling, and he was coming with a full-speed not knowing there’s a bump ahead of him. So, he lost control of the steering and ram into a restaurant, damaging those seeking plantain at a market closeby.
The eye-witness confirmed that no casualty as at the time of incident except just very few that sustained a very slight injury while trying to escape from the coming tanker.
He added that the building at the scene of accident was destroyed.
When asked about the driver condition, he said, he’s alive and receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Regarding the state of the tanker, he said it was severely damaged as well, adding that it was empty of petrol, no cause for alarm on likely explosion.
