The Ogun State government has said that not less than 952 public primary and secondary schools across the state will be renovated before the end of this year.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs.Ronke Soyombo, said this on Thursday at the inauguration of school projects at Ebenezer Grammar School, Elega, Abeokuta.
The school projects were facilitated by the Old Students Association of Ebenezer Grammar School and majorly financed by Tajudeen Olori, Mr Abayomi Fujah and President of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools in the state, Akeem Lasisi.
The Special Adviser noted that the present government would bring an end to the era of crowded classes.
She said, “Before we finished the first year in office, you will see that we were able to actually build and renovate 95 schools. As we speak between now and December, we will be finishing 952 schools in Ogun State.
“We are reviewing and reviving our curriculum; we are conceptualising our curriculum to suit the needs of Ogun state for our children to actually become great employers.”
Soyombo commended the students association for assisting the state government in lifting the standard of infrastructure in public schools.
